Why Chose Career Assessment?
Many people find themselves at crossroads in their careers, unsure of the next steps to take. Whether you’re just starting out, considering a career change, or seeking to grow within your current role, a career assessment can be a valuable tool. It helps you understand your strengths, identify opportunities, and develop a clear sense of direction.
What to Expect
My career assessment process typically involves 2-3 sessions:
- Intake Session
We’ll begin with a detailed conversation about your career story, exploring your background, experiences, and aspirations. This helps me understand your unique perspective and lay the groundwork for further assessment. - Assessment
Depending on your needs, I’ll offer 3-4 carefully chosen assessments that provide insights into your personality, skills, interests, and values. These tools offer a deeper understanding of what drives you and how you might find fulfillment in your career and will be completed outside of our scheduled session. - Feedback Session
Once the assessments are complete, we’ll meet to discuss the results. I’ll highlight areas of congruence and incongruence, pointing out where your talents and values align—or don’t—with different work environments and tasks. You’ll receive personalized feedback, along with practical suggestions for next steps. If desired, I can provide written notes to help you remember key takeaways and track your progress. - Accountability Follow-Up Sessions (Optional)
These sessions are scheduled at regular intervals—weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly—to fit your needs. They provide you with a dedicated space to discuss your progress, address any obstacles, and refine your career strategy. Whether you’re working toward a specific milestone, exploring new opportunities, or seeking guidance on a particular issue, these sessions offer ongoing support and encouragement.
Your Career Compass
The ultimate aim of this process is to help you develop a career compass—a guide that will serve you throughout your professional life. By synthesizing your career story and assessment results, you’ll gain a clearer sense of your career identity. This compass will help you navigate career decisions, whether it’s choosing a new role, exploring a different industry, or seeking advancement in your current position.
