Therapy for Working Parents in Massachusetts

Career Support through the US

  • I do not. My services are offered 100% virtually (phone or video).

  • I see clients for therapy who are physically located in Massachusetts.

I offer career coaching and assessment throughout the US.

I live outside of Boston, MA in the Metrowest area.

  • I am not in network with any insurance company.

For individual therapy, I am happy to provide a Superbill for clients to submit to their insurance company for reimbursement.

Most of my clients use out of network benefits to pay for the majority of the cost of a session.

One way to check benefits is to use my Mentaya calculator. You can also call the members’ number on the back of your card and ask the following questions:

    • What is my out-of-network deductible for outpatient mental health visits?

    • How much of my deductiblehas been met this year?

    • What is my out-of-network coinsurance for outpatient mental health visits?

    • Do I need a referral from an in-network provider or a primary care physician to see someone out-of-network?

    • How do I submit claims for out-of-network reimbursement?

    • Are virtual outpatient mental health visits (or teletherapy) covered by my plan?

  • It depends on the session and length of time. For more information, please see my investment page.

  • I tend to see clients EST between 9am - 4pm Tue - Friday.

  • Yes, I believe in client-therapist and client-career coach MATCH. It’s important to feel out what it might be like to work with me before we start working together.

You may get a good sense of me from my website, hearing me on a podcast, or because you trust somebody who referred me. Awesome! Let’s book a call.

If not, let’s set up a brief call to see if I might be the person to give you support at this time.

  • Sessions are 50 minutes long.

Those looking for longer sessions for faster healing and movement in their therapy or career goals, intensives can be scheduled for 3-4hrs at a time.

  • No, therapy can be extremely useful when you are going through big changes, facing chronic worry and anxiety and sick of being in your head all the time, or facing self-criticism alone.

Clients I work with often are used to minimizing their struggles (even though they are good at honoring the difficulties of those around them).

Therapy can be a lot of things, but it certainly should be a validating space to self-reflect and work on growing self-compassion.

  • Depending on the service, this will look slightly different. In general, the first session is an assessment session. This means I will be asking many questions about how you decided to engage in therapy, what your thoughts are about the problems you’re facing, and what you’d like to accomplish in your work with me.

  • I follow the client’s lead on duration of treatment and/or career support services.

It really depends on what your needs and goals are. I’ve worked with a number of clients for a short period of time (6-8 sessions) or longer (20+ sessions).

Within the intensive therapy format (3-4 hour sessions), I’ve seen people make significant progress within one or two sessions.

  • I require a credit card to be on file before your first appointment.

If you cancel at least 24 hours before your session time, you will not be charged. However, if your session is cancelled less than 24 hours, you will be charged the full amount of the session you were scheduled for.

For intensives, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit upon scheduling. The remaining balance is due on the first day of your intensive
